a niblet..

He always lowered his voice for me over the phone so that I could feel tones of sound waves wrap through the wires and then down my arms. Embracing me in the coolness of his soft gruff voice with undertones being of a cool cold and damp nature. The sky silenced before the sunrise around his words. As he spoke the sun carved into the horizon of my vision, and laid out a path of warm golden rays that warmed my cold body. Breathing warmth into my chilled lungs. Spine tingling numbness followed by the cool touch of his lips to mine. With the warm touch of lips I listened as the quiet porcelain apologies fluttered off his tongue while enlightening my mind,as I bit my lip and felt a small trickle of the iron and rust collect in the back of my throat. The air became heavy with the absence of his breathe, while I had the feeling of being light headed. He had left me just as I drifted back to sleep in the warm comforts of his arms that I imagined enveloped me as I dozed in sleep.
